Your heart rate, temperature, blood pressure, and respiration rate are called "vital signs." These things
communicate significant information about the health of the human body. There are also vital signs to the
Spirit-filled life. They are called fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians
5:22-23 ESV) Vital Signs was written as a discipleship resource to cultivate these nine marks of Christian
character. It fosters intimacy with God on a daily basis.

Christians who seek to relate their faith to politics have always encountered tensions. Instead of easy
answers and simple checklists, we need tools to help us thoughtfully navigate the complexities of
Christian faithfulness in an increasingly diverse and polarized society. This group guides readers in
forming a vision of citizenship that brings Christian convictions into political engagement while avoiding
common pitfalls. Faithful Politics helps us learn from Christians of the past as we discern how to be salt
and light in our own time and place.

Sometimes circumstances in life make it difficult for men to be all God wants them to be. Tony Evans

challenge us to lay down our excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be a man of character and
